People love saying it , “Stop overthinking,” “You think too much,” “Just go with the flow.”
But I’ve started questioning that.
What if you’re not overthinking?
What if you’re just the only one actually thinking?
There’s a difference between anxiety and awareness.
Between spiralling and reflecting.
Between being stuck in your head and simply observing what others ignore.
You replay situations not because you enjoy suffering —
but because you want to understand what really happened.
You overanalyze moments because they meant something to you.
You notice tone, energy, silence, all the things that go unsaid.
That doesn’t make you weak.
It just means you’re paying attention in a world that’s half-asleep.
Everyone’s moving fast.
Saying things without meaning them.
Promising without thinking.
Forgetting without guilt.
And in the middle of all this…
you pause.
You think.
You feel.
That’s not a problem.
That’s your power.
So no, maybe you’re not overthinking.
Maybe you’re just the only one still thinking while everyone else is on autopilot.
And in a world that moves this fast,
that kind of awareness can feel like a burden —
but trust me, it’s a gift.
